2007 NFL Draft wide receiver rankings

Frank Coyle's analysis of the class:

This class of senior receivers is an average group. The addition of the underclassmen makes this one of the strengths of the 2007 NFL Draft.

Wide receiver has annually been one of the premier positions of the pro scouting process. This senior group generally showed improvement over the 2006 season to make this an impact position.

POSITION
GRADE
A

Because of the high premium placed on this position, many prime underclassmen declared for the Draft in January. A few underclassmen can expect to be selected in the first round.

Calvin Johnson, Dwayne Jarrett, Ted Ginn Jr., Sidney Rice and Robert Meachem are the top five prospects at this position.

Senior receivers Dwayne Bowe and Jason Hill continued to improve their stock in the postseason.

There could be record number of receivers selected this year, and possibly a new mark for wideouts drafted in the top 100 picks.
