College football fans and those associated with the game praised the schedule of games on Sept. 16 as possibly one of the best of all time.
With seven matchups of ranked teams on the slate, it certainly offered plenty of compelling action. That said, this weekend is no slouch.
In the SEC, Florida plays host to LSU in a matchup featuring top-10 teams. Division foes Tennessee and Georgia also face off to see who can give the Gators a run for their money in the SEC East.
In the Big 12, division foes and longtime rivals Oklahoma and Texas meet in the Red River Shootout. Sooners star Adrian Peterson will try to have success against the Longhorns' outstanding run defense.

In the Big East, West Virginia and Louisville are back in action after bye weeks. If you want to watch the Mountaineers, you'll have to buy a ticket. Their game with Mississippi State isn't being televised live.
The featured ACC contest this week features – believe it or not - Wake Forest. The Demon Deacons will try to improve to 6-0 against heavily favored Clemson.
Finally, the Michigan-Michigan State game takes center stage in the Big Ten. The Wolverines are having a surprisingly successful season thus far. Conversely, the Spartans are coming off a very unsuccessful performance in a loss to Illinois.
