Let's take this show on the road.

The top three teams in the country (Ohio State, Auburn and USC) play away from home this week. The Buckeyes head to Iowa to take on the No. 13 Hawkeyes, Auburn heads to South Carolina for a Thursday night matchup with Steve Spurrier's Gamecocks and the Trojans visit the Washington State Cougars.

The road theme is relevant in the Pac-10 as well. In addition to USC, ranked teams Oregon and Cal travel to face conference foes.

After a year away from home, several Big Ten sophomores are climbing their way to the top of the conference's statistical categories.

Texas Tech's offense plans to take to the air against Texas A&M in a Big 12 matchup. This game will take us a step further in determining if the Aggies' defense is as improved as the statistics indicate.

Rutgers in its first game as a ranked team in 30 years heads down to South Florida. The Scarlet Knights hope their ranking continues to go north instead of south.

In the SEC, the story is east vs. west. There are three interdivisional matchups, with Alabama's trip to Florida being the headliner.

The ACC slate features Georgia Tech at Virginia Tech, a Coastal Division game that could have conference title implications.

Read about these topics and more in our weekly conference breakdowns.
