Rivals.com expert predictions: Pac-10

MORE: Pac-10 preview

We asked our five football writers to answer a few questions about the Pac-10, some serious and some light-hearted. Here are their responses:

WHO WINS THE LEAGUE?
Olin Buchanan: Oregon
Tom Dienhart: Oregon
David Fox: Oregon
Mike Huguenin: Oregon
Steve Megargee: Oregon (but only because USC is ineligible)
WHICH TEAM WILL BE THE BIGGEST DISAPPOINTMENT?
Olin Buchanan: USC
Tom Dienhart: California
David Fox: Arizona
Mike Huguenin: Arizona
Steve Megargee: Stanford
IF I WERE {BLANK}, I'D REALLY BE WORRIED.
Olin Buchanan: Washington State coach Paul Wulff. The Cougars have managed just three wins in two seasons under Wulff. Another disaster would put in job in serious jeopardy.
Tom Dienhart: USC coach Lane Kiffin. I think if the Trojans lose a game or two early, they could spiral down quickly with nothing to play for this season.
David Fox: UCLA coach Rick Neuheisel. If he can't win big at UCLA now, when can he? He's starting his third season at UCLA and archrival USC is going on probation. If he needs a second-half comeback to beat Temple in another bowl game, he might be in trouble.
Mike Huguenin: USC coach Lane Kiffin. His scholarship players will number about 70 this fall, which means injuries are going to play a huge role because of a lack of depth. And given the harsh NCAA sanctions USC faces, injuries are going to play a huge role for the next three years, too. This might be Kiffin's dream job, but he could have a nightmarish tenure.
Steve Megargee: Any Pac-10 defensive back. Jake Locker, Andrew Luck, Matt Barkley and Nick Foles should make this a memorable season for Pac-10 quarterbacks.
