Five former five-star recruits went in the first round of the 2010 NFL draft Thursday night.

There were 13 former four-star prospects selected, along with seven three-star guys and six two-star players. One player was unranked out of high school.

The unranked player was a four-star prospect the next season out of prep school. In addition, one of the two-star prep recruits later was a four-star recruit out of junior college. In this accounting, neither counts as a four-star prospect.

Four of the former five-star players were from the 2006 recruiting class: Brandon Graham, Gerald McCoy, C.J. Spiller and Tim Tebow. Eric Berry was a five-star prospect in the 2007 class.

Six of the 32 first-round picks played their high school football in Texas. Florida high schools produced five first-rounders, and California, Georgia, New Jersey and Oklahoma each produced three.

Two from Jersey were from Piscataway High.
