At 1:20 p.m. ET each Monday, Rivals.com releases the 120 at 1:20, Mike Huguenin's ranking of every major college football team in the nation.
There's no shakeup at the top, but losses by three teams in last week's top 10 -- Iowa, Oregon and LSU -- did cause a lot of movement in our weekly 1-120 rankings.
Texas, Alabama and Florida remained first, second and third, but TCU jumped to fourth after Iowa -- last week's No. 4 -- lost QB Ricky Stanzi and its first game of the season.
While the top six teams are the remaining six unbeatens, the bottom four are the remaining four winless teams.
On to the rankings:
Mike Huguenin's 120 at 1:20
1. Texas (9-0)
BUZZ: Colt McCoy had his best game of the season. Was that a sign the offense is perking up -- or an offshoot of playing a mediocre opponent?
NEXT: Saturday, at Baylor.
2. Alabama (9-0)
BUZZ: After a half of weird play-calling, the Tide went to their bread-and-butter in the second half -- RB Mark Ingram.
NEXT: Saturday, at Mississippi State.
3. Florida (9-0)
BUZZ: It's time to face facts -- Florida's offense just isn't that good this season. The flipside: The defense might be the best in the nation.
NEXT: Saturday, at South Carolina.
4. TCU (9-0)
BUZZ: The Horned Frogs' three remaining Mountain West opponents have a combined seven league wins -- and five of those belong to this week's foe. In other words, beat Utah and 12-0 is there for the (easy) taking.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Utah.
5. Cincinnati (9-0)
BUZZ: Do the Bearcats have a quarterback controversy? One thing they better make sure of is that the run defense tightens up with Noel Devine coming to town.
NEXT: Friday, vs. West Virginia.
6. Boise State (9-0)
BUZZ: The Broncos have won 53 consecutive regular-season home games and have won 23 in a row at home overall.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Idaho.
7. Georgia Tech (9-1)
BUZZ: A victory this week clinches the ACC Coastal Division title. But Duke's pass offense could make things a little bit interesting.
NEXT: Saturday, at Duke.
8. Utah (8-1)
BUZZ: The Utes quietly have put together a six-game winning streak. But why do we think that streak ends this weekend?
NEXT: Saturday, at TCU.
9. LSU (7-2)
BUZZ: Alabama scored 24 on the Tigers, becoming just the third team this season to score more than 13 on them.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Louisiana Tech.
10. Iowa (9-1)
BUZZ: Without QB Ricky Stanzi, the Hawkeyes wouldn't seem to have much hope of beating the Buckeyes this Saturday.
NEXT: Saturday, at Ohio State.
11. Oregon (7-2)
BUZZ: Two weeks ago, Oregon's ground attack left USC battered and broken. Well, this past weekend, Stanford's ground attack did the same to Oregon.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Arizona State.
12. USC (7-2)
BUZZ: Can Toby Gerhart do to USC this weekend what he did to Oregon last weekend? You know, what Stanford did to Oregon was sort of what Oregon did to USC.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Stanford.
13. Miami (7-2)
BUZZ: The Hurricanes had their best offensive output of the season in blasting Virginia.
NEXT: Saturday, at North Carolina.
14. Pittsburgh (8-1)
BUZZ: The Panthers have a tough finishing stretch -- vs. Notre Dame, at West Virginia and vs. Cincinnati.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Notre Dame.
15. Houston (8-1)
BUZZ: A touchdown, a successful onside kick and a 51-yard field goal in the final 30 seconds? Man, that's a piece of cake for the Cougars.
NEXT: Saturday, at UCF.
16. Arizona (6-2)
BUZZ: The Wildcats are bowl eligible. Now, they need to focus on beating Cal and staying in the Rose Bowl hunt.
NEXT: Saturday, at California.
17. Ohio State (8-2)
BUZZ: The Buckeyes are looking good for a return trip to the BCS. But, in the long run, would a return trip to the BCS be that good for the Buckeyes -- you know, with another loss and all?
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Iowa.
18. Oklahoma State (7-2)
BUZZ: Saturday's game is a big one in terms of Big 12 bowl positioning.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Texas Tech.
19. Oregon State (6-3)
BUZZ: The Beavers looked good in whipping Cal. They have won four of their past five.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Washington.
20. BYU (7-2)
BUZZ: QB Max Hall became the Mountain West's career leader in TD passes over the weekend. Expect him to add a few more against the winless Lobos.
NEXT: Saturday, at New Mexico.
21. Penn State (8-2)
BUZZ: After Saturday's beatdown at the hands of Ohio State, Penn State officials asked Big Ten higher-ups if they could just play weak league teams and bad non-conference teams in the future.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Indiana.
22. Virginia Tech (6-3)
BUZZ: The Hokies finish up with Maryland, N.C. State and Virginia, so 9-3 is looking good.
NEXT: Saturday, at Maryland.
23. Wisconsin (7-2)
BUZZ: The Badgers look to be in excellent shape to finish 10-2, which would mean all the heat is off coach Bret Bielema.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Michigan
24. Clemson (6-3)
BUZZ: The Tigers are in the driver's seat in the ACC Atlantic Division. But if there's any team capable of taking a stupid detour, it's Clemson.
NEXT: Saturday, at N.C. State.
25. Stanford (6-3)
BUZZ: This week's game is the final road game of the season. The Cardinal are glad, because they're 1-3 on the road.
NEXT: Saturday, at USC.
26. Nebraska (6-3)
BUZZ: All of a sudden, this team cannot score -- the Huskers have scored 47 points in their past four games -- but in the Big 12 North, that doesn't really matter.
NEXT: Saturday, at Kansas.
27. California (6-3)
BUZZ: This week's game is the final home game of the season for the Golden Bears, who have been a disappointment.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Arizona.
28. Boston College (6-3)
BUZZ: The Eagles remain alive in the ACC Atlantic race, and their defense should rule the day against a punchless Virginia offense this week.
NEXT: Saturday, at Virginia.
29. Texas Tech (6-3)
BUZZ: The Red Raiders had this past weekend off, and the next two games -- at Oklahoma State and vs. Oklahoma -- will determine where the Red Raiders will spend the holidays.
NEXT: Saturday, at Oklahoma State.
30. USF (6-2)
BUZZ: The Bulls had the weekend off to savor the win over West Virginia. They'll need to be at their best for Thursday night's matchup.
NEXT: Thursday, at Rutgers.
31. Auburn (7-3)
BUZZ: The Tigers end the season with their biggest rivals -- Georgia this week, then Alabama on Thanksgiving Friday.
NEXT: Saturday, at Georgia.
32. West Virginia (7-2)
BUZZ: The Mountaineers have a tough closing stretch. Will they step up or fall down?
NEXT: Friday, at Cincinnati.
33. Oklahoma (5-4)
BUZZ: To be on the safe side, the Sooners better win Saturday if they want to go bowling this season.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Texas A&M.
34. Notre Dame (6-3)
BUZZ: Forget any talk about the BCS. Will the Irish finish better than 7-5?
NEXT: Saturday, at Pittsburgh.
35. Tennessee (5-4)
BUZZ: A victory this weekend and the Vols all but lock up a New Year's Day bowl invitation.
NEXT: Saturday, at Ole Miss.
36. Ole Miss (6-3)
BUZZ: The Rebels got their second victory of the season over an FCS opponent, meaning they need to get to seven to become bowl eligible.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Tennessee.
37. Navy (6-3)
BUZZ: We're betting that not many teams lose to Temple one week, then turn around and win at Notre Dame the next.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Delaware.
38. Central Michigan (7-2)
BUZZ: Given Toledo's weak pass defense, we're thinking Chippewas QB Dan LeFevour is really looking forward to Wednesday's game.
NEXT: Wednesday, vs. Toledo.
39. Fresno State (6-3)
BUZZ: Saturday's game should determine who finishes second in the WAC. Both run the ball extremely well.
NEXT: Saturday, at Nevada.
40. North Carolina (6-3)
BUZZ: Tar Heels coach Butch Davis is 2-0 against his old team. Can he make it 3-0 in UNC's final home game of the season?
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Miami.
41. Arkansas (5-4)
BUZZ: The Hogs look to have a solid shot at a 7-5 finish in coach Bobby Petrino's second season.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Troy.
42. South Carolina (6-4)
BUZZ: Same song, different verse -- a hot start is followed by a season-ending collapse.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Florida.
43. Rutgers (6-2)
BUZZ: The Scarlet Knights need seven wins for bowl eligibility because they have two victories over FCS opponents.
NEXT: Thursday, vs. USF.
44. Air Force (6-4)
BUZZ: The Falcons finish off their home schedule this week; they're 4-1 so far and should finish 5-1.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. UNLV.
45. Florida State (4-5)
BUZZ: The defense has been horrendous, but at least the offense has put up a fight. But with QB Christian Ponder possibly missing the rest of the season with a shoulder injury, can the Seminoles get to a bowl?
NEXT: Saturday, at Wake Forest.
46. Connecticut (4-5)
BUZZ: The Huskies have lost three in a row by a combined eight points. The off week couldn't come at a better time.
NEXT: Nov. 21, at Notre Dame.
47. Northwestern (6-4)
BUZZ: The defense did a nice job keeping Iowa under wraps. Then again, it was an Iowa offense with its backup quarterback.
NEXT: Saturday, at Illinois.
48. Michigan State (5-5)
BUZZ: The Spartans have been a mild disappointment this season. But you know what: They beat Michigan again and will finish ahead of the Wolverines in the Big Ten.
NEXT: Saturday, at Purdue.
49. Georgia (5-4)
BUZZ: How bad has it been for the Bulldogs' defense. The coaches were crowing about a shutout of Tennessee Tech.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Auburn.
50. Kansas State (6-4)
BUZZ: Before the season, it was assumed one of the teams in this Saturday's matchup would be playing to keep its Big 12 North title hopes alive. But it was assumed that team would've been Mizzou.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Missouri.
51. Missouri (5-4)
BUZZ: Last week at this time, Mizzou looked good for an 8-4 or even 9-3 finish. Now, after a loss to Baylor, all bets are off.
NEXT: Saturday, at Kansas State.
52. Kansas (5-4)
BUZZ: The hits just keep on coming for the Jayhawks, who have lost four in a row and could end the season on a seven-game losing streak.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Nebraska.
53. Mississippi State (4-5)
BUZZ: The Bulldogs lost by 10 to the SEC East champs at home. What will they do against the SEC West champs at home this weekend?
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Alabama.
54. Kentucky (5-4)
BUZZ: The Wildcats need one more win for bowl eligibility, and by far their best chance to get it is this weekend.
NEXT: Saturday, at Vanderbilt.
55. Arizona State (4-5)
BUZZ: The defense turned in a winning effort against USC. The offense, though, needs a lot of work.
NEXT: Saturday, at Oregon.
56. Nevada (6-3)
BUZZ: The Wolf Pack have won six in a row going into Saturday's game, their last one at home this season.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Fresno State.
57. Wake Forest (4-6)
BUZZ: The Demon Deacons need to beat Florida State and Duke to get to a bowl. A shaky secondary will be tested by both opponents.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Florida State.
58. Minnesota (5-5)
BUZZ: The Golden Gophers get a visit from South Dakota State this weekend. Or, in football parlance, "a guaranteed win so we can get to six wins for bowl eligibility."
NEXT: Saturday, vs. South Dakota State.
59. East Carolina (5-4)
BUZZ: ECU is the leader in the East Division of Conference USA, and the game at Tulsa looks to be the Pirates' toughest remaining test.
NEXT: Sunday, at Tulsa.
60. UCLA (4-5)
BUZZ: The Bruins should win Saturday, meaning they would need to win one of their last two games -- against Arizona State and USC -- to become bowl eligible.
NEXT: Saturday, at Washington State.
61. Troy (7-2)
BUZZ: The Trojans carry a seven-game win streak into the game with Arkansas. But the last time Troy tangled with an SEC team, it lost by 50 at Florida on Sept. 12.
NEXT: Saturday, at Arkansas.
62. Washington (3-6)
BUZZ: Since beating USC on Sept. 19, the Huskies have lost five of six.
NEXT: Saturday, at Oregon State.
63. Southern Miss (5-4)
BUZZ: To remain alive in the C-USA East race, the Golden Eagles need to win at Marshall this weekend.
NEXT: Saturday, at Marshall.
64. Michigan (5-5)
BUZZ: Man, that 4-0 start sure seems like a long time ago. Unless the Wolverines upset either Wisconsin or Ohio State, there will be no bowl.
NEXT: Saturday, at Wisconsin.
65. Temple (7-2)
BUZZ: Man, why isn't coach Al Golden getting more attention? The Owls have won seven in a row and are in the driver's seat in the MAC East. True freshman RB Bernard Pierce has been outstanding.
NEXT: Friday, at Akron.
66. Idaho (7-3)
BUZZ: This already has been a season to remember for the Vandals. But a victory over archrival Boise State? Fans would erect a statue of coach Robb Akey.
NEXT: Saturday, at Boise State.
67. Northern Illinois (6-3)
BUZZ: Last week, the Huskies played a winless team. This week, they get a one-win team whose only victory was over that winless team.
NEXT: Thursday, vs. Ball State.
68. Texas A&M (5-4)
BUZZ: How do you win at Texas Tech but lose at Colorado? Meet the Aggies.
NEXT: Saturday, at Oklahoma.
69. Duke (5-4)
BUZZ: Well, it was fun while it lasted. Now Blue Devils fans can focus on basketball.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Georgia Tech.
70. Iowa State (5-5)
BUZZ: The Cyclones have two chances -- against Colorado and against Missouri -- to become bowl eligible in coach Paul Rhoads' first season.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Colorado.
71. Purdue (4-6)
BUZZ: All hail, Danny Hope! The Boilers beat Michigan and Ohio State in the same season for the first time since 2000 and for just the second time since 1984.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Michigan State.
72. SMU (5-4)
BUZZ: This past Saturday's game against Rice was much tougher than expected. The Mustangs still look good for at least seven wins, though.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. UTEP.
73. N.C. State (4-5)
BUZZ: The Wolfpack's defense has allowed at least 30 points in six consecutive games. That's not good with an explosive Clemson offense up next.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Clemson.
74. Virginia (3-6)
BUZZ: The Cavs lost their first three, won their next three and now have lost three in a row. We're thinking that streak goes to four this weekend.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Boston College.
75. Tulsa (4-5)
BUZZ: The Golden Hurricane have lost four in a row, and the latest -- a last-play setback to Houston -- was the toughest to take.
NEXT: Sunday, vs. East Carolina.
76. Middle Tennessee State (6-3)
BUZZ: The Blue Raiders have won three in a row and scored 137 points in those three games.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Louisiana-Lafayette.
77. Marshall (5-4)
BUZZ: Slowing Southern Miss' rushing attack will be the top priority this weekend.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Southern Miss.
78. Ohio University (6-3)
BUZZ: A victory Tuesday night is vital if the Bobcats want to remain in the hunt for the MAC East crown.
NEXT: Tuesday, at Buffalo.
79. Indiana (4-6)
BUZZ: The Hoosiers have acquitted themselves well of late, but don't have any wins to show for it. IU has lost six of its past seven.
NEXT: Saturday, at Penn State.
80. Illinois (3-6)
BUZZ: The Fighting Illini have decided to show some fight. Too bad it's too little, too late.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Northwestern.
81. Bowling Green (4-5)
BUZZ: The Falcons still have a legit shot at a second-place finish in the MAC East.
NEXT: Thursday, at Miami University.
82. Syracuse (3-6)
BUZZ: Man, lock the door, close the curtains and turn off the phone -- there's a big one Saturday.
NEXT: Saturday, at Louisville.
83. Colorado (3-6)
BUZZ: The Buffs have a distinct pattern this season -- they lost their first two, won their next one, lost their next two, won the next one, lost the next two, then won the next one. That means this week's game will be a loss.
NEXT: Saturday, at Iowa State.
84. Louisville (3-6)
BUZZ: Man, lock the door, close the curtains and turn off the phone -- there's a big one Saturday.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Syracuse.
85. UCF (5-4)
BUZZ: Last week, the Knights were torched by Colt McCoy. This week, Houston QB Case Keenum comes calling.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Houston.
86. Louisiana-Lafayette (5-4)
BUZZ: The Ragin' Cajuns meet Middle Tennessee. Both Sun Belt teams have beaten a Big Six team: ULL over Kansas State and MTSU over Maryland.
NEXT: Saturday, at Middle Tennessee.
87. Baylor (4-5)
BUZZ: Frankly, the Bears looked dead in the water. But then they go to play Missouri.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Texas.
88. Western Michigan (4-6)
BUZZ: The Broncos have been a disappointment, but a .500 finish easily is within reach because their final two opponents have a combined one win.
NEXT: Saturday, at Eastern Michigan.
89. Toledo (4-5)
BUZZ: The Rockets appear destined for a second-division finish in the MAC West in coach Tim Beckman's first season.
NEXT: Wednesday, at Central Michigan.
90. Kent State (5-5)
BUZZ: The Golden Flashes' three-game win streak came to an end against what had been a one-win Akron team. Still, there's a shot at a second .500 finish in four seasons.
NEXT: Nov. 21, at Temple.
91. Maryland (2-7)
BUZZ: With every passing week, that Oct. 3 win over Clemson looks curiouser and curiouser.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Virginia Tech.
92. Louisiana-Monroe (5-4)
BUZZ: If the Warhawks can get to seven wins, they'll have a shot at a bowl bid because there will be one or two leagues that can't fill all their bowl slots.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Western Kentucky.
93. UNLV (4-6)
BUZZ: UNLV can't stop the run, and that's not good with a game against Air Force and its triple option looming.
NEXT: Saturday, at Air Force.
94. UAB (4-5)
BUZZ: QB Joe Webb is having a big season, and it's possible he can guide UAB to its second-ever bowl berth.
NEXT: Saturday, at Memphis.
95. San Diego State (4-5)
BUZZ: Despite their record, the Aztecs still have a legit shot at a bowl bid.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Wyoming.
96. Wyoming (4-5)
BUZZ: Despite their record, the Cowboys still have a shot at a bowl bid. But it's not a legit shot.
NEXT: Saturday, at San Diego State.
97. Buffalo (3-6)
BUZZ: The Bulls won the MAC East title last season. Tuesday, they can all but eliminate Ohio U. from the race this season.
NEXT: Tuesday, vs. Ohio University.
98. Colorado State (3-7)
BUZZ: The Rams might be the biggest disappointment in the Mountain West. They have lost seven in a row, including the past four by an average of 22.3 points.
NEXT: Nov. 21, at New Mexico.
99. UTEP (3-6)
BUZZ: The Miners beat Houston and Tulsa. That's the good. The bad? They have lost to Memphis and Tulane.
NEXT: Saturday, at SMU.
100. Army (3-6)
BUZZ: It appears extremely likely that Army will be 5-6 when it meets Navy on Dec. 12. That means a bowl bid would be on the line for the Black Knights.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. VMI.
101. Vanderbilt (2-8)
BUZZ: Talk about poor scheduling -- the depth-shy Commodores don't have a bye week this season.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Kentucky.
102. Tulane (3-6)
BUZZ: The Green Wave's final three games this season are on the road.
NEXT: Saturday, at Rice.
103. Memphis (2-7)
BUZZ: Coach Tommy West's career at Memphis would seem to be winding down.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. UAB.
104. Louisiana Tech (3-6)
BUZZ: OK, let's play a game. The Bulldogs are coming off a 10-point loss to Boise State. Raise your hand if you think LSU will beat the Bulldogs by more than 10. … Wow, that's a lot of you.
NEXT: Saturday, at LSU.
105. Florida Atlantic (2-6)
BUZZ: Without starting QB Rusty Smith, who will miss the rest of the season, the Owls will be hard-pressed to win another game. Then again, they do play Western Kentucky, so …
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Arkansas State.
106. Arkansas State (2-6)
BUZZ: The defense has played OK. But a rebuilt offensive line has meant a stuck-in-the-mud rushing attack.
NEXT: Saturday, at Florida Atlantic.
107. Hawaii (3-6)
BUZZ: The Warriors snapped a six-game losing streak by beating Utah State. And as bad as this season has been, the Warriors -- incredibly -- have a quasi-legitimate shot at a bowl bid.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. New Mexico State
108. Washington State (1-8)
BUZZ: The Cougars haven't scored more than 17 points since they rang up 30 in beating SMU on Sept. 19.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. UCLA.
109. Akron (2-7)
BUZZ: The Zips are bad, but their win over the weekend knocked rival Kent State out of the running in the MAC East race.
NEXT: Friday, vs. Temple.
110. Florida International (2-7)
BUZZ: FIU can't run, nor can it stop the run. That's not a good combination.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. North Texas.
111. Utah State (2-7)
BUZZ: Aggies QB Diondre Borel is 11th nationally in total offense, averaging 291.7 yards per game. Too bad he can't play against the Aggies' defense.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. San Jose State.
112. New Mexico State (3-6)
BUZZ: One reason the Aggies have lost three in a row? They scored 10 points total in those three games.
NEXT: Saturday, at Hawaii.
113. Miami University (1-9)
BUZZ: None of the RedHawks' final three games this season is on a Saturday.
NEXT: Thursday, vs. Bowling Green.
114. North Texas (2-7)
BUZZ: The Mean Green have allowed fewer than 31 points just once this season -- and that was in the opener against Ball State.
NEXT: Saturday, at Florida International.
115. Ball State (1-8)
BUZZ: The Cardinals started 12-0 last season, but have lost nine of their past 10 since.
NEXT: Thursday, at Northern Illinois.
116. San Jose State (1-7)
BUZZ: The Spartans' remaining four opponents have won a total of 11 games, with just seven coming against FBS schools. Yet, San Jose State likely will be favored in just one of those remaining four games.
NEXT: Saturday, at Utah State.
117. Rice (0-9)
BUZZ: Saturday would seem to be the best chance for the Owls to avoid a winless season.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Tulane.
118. New Mexico (0-9)
BUZZ: The Lobos are horrible -- and they still have to play two of the best teams in the Mountain West in BYU and TCU.
NEXT: Saturday, at BYU.
119. Eastern Michigan (0-9)
BUZZ: The Eagles have given up 113 points in their past two games, and they are last in the nation in rushing defense.
NEXT: Saturday, vs. Western Michigan.
120. Western Kentucky (0-9)
BUZZ: It's safe to say defense has been a huge problem for the Hilltoppers this season, as they are last nationally in total defense, scoring defense, pass efficiency defense and sacks and 119th in rush defense.
NEXT: Saturday, at Louisiana-Monroe.
