Tuesday's practice report: Defense full of options

If the North Carolina State football team wants to get a test on how disciplined it has become, at least defensively, the exam will take plays against Wofford at 6 p.m. Saturday at Carter-Finley Stadium.

Wofford and its triple option attack will test the resolve and patience of the NC State defense. Few teams still run the option causing the Wolfpack defense to learn how to defend it from scratch this week.

NCSU coach Tom O'Brien admitted after Tuesday's practice that duplicating what the Terriers do with the Wolfpack scout team is almost impossible. Redshirt freshman quarterback Russell Wilson is trying to duplicate what Josh Collier does for Wofford at the position.
