WVSports.com's preseason breakdown: Defensive Line

Spring practice saw new talent emerge in the quest to earn spots on the defensive line. The departures of four-year starter Keilen Dykes and junior Johnny Dingle left vacancies at nose tackle and defensive end, respectively.

Redshirt sophomore Scooter Berry is the line's only returning starter. The defensive tackle started in ten games last season and appeared in each contest.

Berry finished tied for the team lead with three fumble recoveries. He picked up his only sack assist against Marshall, and contributed six stops and a pass deflection in the Louisville victory.
