No. 1: Stanford QB Andrew Luck THE PARTICULARS: 6-4/235, Jr.; Houston Stratford
THE BUZZ: It's no coincidence that Stanford ended a streak of seven losing seasons when Luck took over at quarterback. The Cardinal are 20-5 in games he has started. In two seasons, he has passed 5,913 yards and 45 TDs while completing 64.4 percent of his attempts. The Heisman runner-up last season, when he threw for 3,338 yards and 32 TDs, Luck is accurate, poised and has an uncanny ability to read defenses. He's also a better runner than many realize.
