2005 (Freshman): Averaged 55.7 yards on a team-high 62 kickoffs while driving the ball into the end zone 13 times for touchbacks in 11 games. Made the most of his limited placement opportunities in three contests, converting three of five field goals at Arizona State to earn Pac-10’s weekly special teams accolades. Included was a collegiate-best 51-yard three-pointer against the Sun Devils with his only misses in that game coming from 47 and 55 yards. 2004 (Redshirt): HIGH SCHOOL — The three-sport letterman earned first-team all-Portland Interscholastic League honors in both soccer and football, boasting a prep-best 53-yard field goal for the 2001 PIL champions. The Multnomah Athletic Club Scholar/Athlete also played safety for the Quakers in addition to receiving all-conference track & field honors as a long jumper and sprinter.

OREGON — Patience finally paid off for the walk-on as a powerful leg caught the eye of the coaches and resulted in him sharing time as the Ducks’ kickoff specialist. Waited in the wings until injuries also opened the door for him to display his talents as a placements specialist, yet consistency remains his only deterrent to claiming the latter role on a full-time basis. Converted all three PAT attempts and a 20-yard field goal in the 2006 Spring Game.
