Scouting Reports

The Good: Talib was a fixture in the Jayhawks’ secondary since his true freshman season, earning Big 12 honors each year. Talib shows playmaking ability in coverage and plays a gambling style that has produced big plays for each side. He is an agile athlete with long arms and good footwork. He moves well, and has shown the ability to play in either man or zone coverage. He is a well-built athlete who has bulked up over the past year and checked in at just under 6-foot-1 and 202 pounds after playing in the 185-pound range during his career.

The Bad: He is not a physical defender, and he can be hesitant to come up and support the run. He is only an average tackler who struggles getting off blockers and rarely delivers a big hit. He has the quickness to play man coverage against NFL-caliber talent, though he needs further development in his reads and responsibilities within a scheme.
