The Latest: BYU Preview: Offense — 12/18/2008 Arizona will face an interesting challenge in BYU at the Las Vegas Bowl on Saturday because of the physical brand of football the Cougars play. With that being said, there are also some aspects of the offense that have to do more with finesse.[details]

The Good: A massive, thickly built lineman. Displays a good first step with a strong punch on contact. Showcases good hand placement inside and does a nice job staying on defenders and locking out. Has the base strength to get push as an in-line run blocker. Exhibits smooth, balanced footwork in pass protection and slides well laterally for his size. The Bad: Struggles in space and isn’t able to mirror defenders one on one. Lacks the explosion to make up for a false step and struggles recovering if he loses his advantage. Not as physical as his frame would indicate. Plays with his head down too often and allows his blocks to get slipped. | Scouting report provided by National Football Post. |
