He never seems to get tired as the game wears on and rarely makes a mistake with mental errors. He is able to block well on the move and can reach and get good hits on linebackers and safeties. He has sound technique, will sink his hips and is a natural knee bender – helped by the fact that he was a good high school wrestler. He is a broad-shouldered, athletic interior lineman who has been one of the nation’s most consistent blockers over his outstanding career. He has very good initial quickness, shows definite nastiness in his play, as well as quick feet and fine functional football strength. With his quick, strong hands he is able to consistently lock on and sustain his blocks. Has the ability to drive defenders out of the play. Cons: When blocking in-line, he does not always show the pop to get good movement in his drive blocks. He also had a 27.5-inch vertical jump and an 8’8” broad jump. | This is special to Rivals.com from Frank Coyle.
