2005 (Freshman): After redshirting in 2004, Harris saw limited playing action as a backup during the 2005 campaign. Harris showed very well during spring practice and could very well earn a significant amount of playing time at the vacated defensive tackle position. He's strong and very active when he's on the field, but he has to stay healthy and has to show he can perform come game time.

2004 (Redshirt): Recognized as scout team’s defensive player of the week for aiding preparations heading into game with UCLA.

2003 (Redshirt): HIGH SCHOOL — Rated among the top 50 prep prospects in California by SuperPrep magazine as well as one of the best 11 defensive linemen in the state. The two-time all-Bay Valley League defender possessed the proficiency to force opponents to devise game plans to avoid him. The two-time all-area honoree (Contra Costa Times) and Tacoma News Tribune Western One-hundred pick led the league in quarterback sacks with five in addition to forcing one fumble and recovering another. Completed his prep career with 15 quarterback sacks.

The Good: A strong, well-built tackle with good power and base strength at the point of attack. Works his legs well through blocks and can control linemen on runs to either side of his body. Plays with a good motor and does a nice job extending his arms and delivering a strong punch on contact. Works very hard inside and takes pride against the double-team. Has the power to hold the point of attack. Will find his way as a rotational type defender. The Bad: Isn’t ever going to be a playmaker at the next level. Lacks burst off the ball and struggles shedding blocks inside. Doesn’t displays any kind of lateral mobility and isn’t sudden or fluid in space. More of a strong, blue-collar type.
