The good: Wade is a well-built athlete who has the package to become a top flight pro cover man, combining adequate size with outstanding speed, quickness and instincts to contribute early in his pro career. He has flexible hips with the agility and change-of-direction skills necessary to match up in man coverage. His footwork enables him to break fast on the play and deflect passes. He gained valuable playing experience late in his career - starting on the corner exclusively since the middle of his junior season. He graded out high in big pressure games vs. top competition. The bad: He is shorter than ideal, but possesses the smooth cover corner skills to mirror top wideouts all over the field. He is not very physical in his press or when supporting the run. That is an area of concern. He is not a big hitter; he’s more of a drag-down defender. Outlook: Though he is not fully developed as a corner, he has the talent and skills to make fast progress and become a starting NFL corner. His fast progress over his final college season and improved level of development should allow him to fill the nickel corner role fairly early in his career. Fine prospect who should be a late first-day selection. He is the type that can be a very good pro if he refines his overall game. Wade is a top-75 prospect with clubs like the Titans, Jaguars and Saints very interested.
