April 14, 2006 After an opening loss to TCU and struggling to a 2-3 start, the 2005 Oklahoma Sooners ended the season well.Coach Bob Stoops and his team will try to carry the momentum of wins over Nebraska, Texas A&M, Oklahoma State and Oregon (in the Holiday Bowl) into the 2006 season. Star running back Adrian Peterson hopes to return to the form he displayed his freshman year, when he rushed for more than 2,000 yards. Quarterback Rhett Bomar has a season under his belt, and he doesn't have Paul Thompson looking over his shoulder. Reggie Smith is back to help lead a defense that is eagerly awaiting the opener against UAB on Sept. 2. As part of its Spring Football Video Tour, Rivals.com talked with Stoops, Bomar, Smith and co-Offensive Coordinator Kevin Wilson about their expectations for the upcoming season.
