Maiava brings leadership and toughness
Rick Kimbrel
BruinSportsReport.com The addition of sophomore center Kai Maiava, should help the revamped offensive line. He brought toughness to the scout team a year ago and he brought that same attitude to the ones this past training camp. Just a tougher mentality will go a long way in helping to improve the offensive front. Maiava has also been an outstanding leader for the younger and new players on the block.
After a recent practice, Maiava spoke with BruinBlitz.com
BruinBlitz.com: How do you think the offensive line has progressed throughout training camp?
Maiava: "I think we came a long way from the first couple days to now. There was a lot of miscommunication and the new guys didn't really know the whole pace of the game, but from watching film lately, I think we are doing a really good job. We still have little things that we can work on, which is always the case, but so far the young guys and the older guys are coming along really well. We are looking pretty good out there I think."
