Zachery growing into new role

For his first three seasons at Auburn, Terrell Zachery caught just two passes. But his fortunes have changed considerably this spring.

The Wadley, Ala., native has been working as a starting receiver throughout camp and is starting to show some of the big-play ability that made him Alabama's all-time leading high school receiver.

"Terrell is one of the guys that's stepped up and made some plays," receivers coach Trooper Taylor said.

One of Zachery's biggest plays of the spring came in the first scrimmage when he split the safeties on a post route and scored on a long touchdown reception.

But Taylor said it's more than Zachery's play on the field that's caught his eye this spring.
