Improbable Mountaineers help turn Fiesta Bowl upset

WVSports.com GLENDALE, Ariz.-With 6:23 left in the third quarter Wednesday night, somebody for West Virginia had to make a play. As it turned out, two "somebodies" did. Ridwan Malik, a senior program veteran, and J.T. Thomas, a redshirt freshman whose headlines came for non-football reasons this season, combined on a game-turning on-sides kick recovery that led the Mountaineers to a 48-28 victory over BCS 4th-ranked Oklahoma.
