Jackson gets a visit from Georgia
The University of Georgia hit the road this week and four-star Rivals100 defensive end Toby Jackson spent time with Rodney Garner Wednesday night. Jackson committed to UGA in June, but has continued to look at other schools since then. The Dawgs will have to fight to keep him on their commitment list through signing day and the schools they are battling are visiting Jackson this week as well.
"It has been a busy week and it is not done yet," said Jackson. "Auburn was in on Monday, Alabama on Tuesday and Georgia on Wednesday. Miami will be here on Thursday night too."
"Coach [Hugh] Nall came from Auburn and we had a nice visit. It was a little different from Georgia's, but it was cool. He is from Georgia, so he related to my mom well."
"Coach [Kirby] Smart was here on Tuesday and he is a cool coach. I like talking to him and he is real energetic. He is from Georgia too, so he knows a lot about this area and stuff."
Coach [Patrick] Nix will be at my house Thursday for Miami, but my visit tonight was with Coach [Rodney] Garner from Georgia. He is my recruiting coach and we had a real nice visit.
"Coach Garner brought a lot different type of visit than the other schools and it we great," the four-star end said. "He brought his laptop and showed us a power point presentation on Georgia and what they are all about. It was nice to see those things."
"He really spent a lot of time talking with my parents too and building his relationship with them. My parents really like him and they had a lot of fun. They related well to each other and my parents like him a lot."
Coach "G" talked to his prize recruit as well.
"He told me how bad Georgia wants me and needs me and that felt good. He talked to me about the tradition Georgia has had on the defensive line and we had a nice conversation. Coach Garner and I have a good relationship, so it was all nice."
