Richardson finds a match at OLB

IrishIllustrated.com As a 6-foot-2, 228-pound freshman defensive end, Morrice Richardson was by no means a square peg in a round hole.
A first-team defensive lineman on the '05 Georgia Class AAA all-state team, Richardson was a hybrid performer who had excelled with a hand on the ground as well as in a two-point stance during his career at Westlake High School in Atlanta.
But when Corwin Brown arrived this winter and replaced Rick Minter as defensive coordinator, the 3-4 personnel scheme that he brought with him returned Richardson to a comfort zone that should benefit one of Notre Dame's most exciting young performers on the defensive side of the ball.
