Warner: 'It comes down to getting in the end zone'
EAST LANSING - Quarterbacks coach Dave Warner and the rest of Michigan State's assistants on offense came away from their team's 10-7 win over Ohio State with mixed feelings.
"We are very close, but at the same time we were very frustrated after the Ohio State game knowing that we moved the ball against an excellent defense," explained Warner. "We ran the ball, our offensive line performed well. But at the same time it comes down to getting in the end zone. We didn't do that, through turnovers and stopped drives, whatever the case is.
"We know that we are close, but until we get there we are going to keep fighting and scratching to make sure that our team, and they do, understands that moving the ball is not what we are all about. Moving the ball and getting into the end zone is what we need."
