Captains careful to avoid bulletin board material
EAST LANSING - Michigan State's three captains made it through Tuesday's press conference without contributing bulletin board material to a rivalry game that is already running hot as Michigan State looks to make it four straight victories over Michigan and the Wolverines are looking to make a statement under first-year head coach Brady Hoke.
"Michigan's a team that we respect," said Foreman. "We respect everyone on our schedule. So, you know, you play the game on Saturday, and so we look forward to playing the game, and that's how we're going to make our statement."
Senior free-safety Trenton Robinson came the closest to putting his foot in his mouth during the press conference when he was asked to explain with the rivalry with Michigan was personal to him.
"I really don't want to go all into that," Robinson said. "I don't want to go all into that. But I mean you see on Saturdays and everybody else see it's on Saturdays. I'm not going to go into that. I am emotional, and I don't want to get all involved in that right now."
