Practice Rewind: Day 7 (morning session)
RELATED ARTICLE : Fall Camp Headquarters
I love covering the morning practices of Fall Camp. Aside from getting up at the crack of dawn there is just something so refreshing about the cool blue skies and long shadows of the morning practice that makes it feel like football.
The team is also either raring to go or sluggish during these morning sessions which can lead to some interesting sound bites throughout the day. Today the Beavers seemed a little more on the sluggish side as the coaches were doing all in their power to help the guys wake up and get going.
That isn't to say that there wasn't some good plays as we saw several as the Beavers focused on third down situations during much of the practice.
Several players sat out to rest minor 'dings', none of which seemed major. The new guys in the secondary got a lot of work as Brandon Hardin, Rashaad Reynolds, Sean Martin, and Ryan Murphy sat out for various injuries. Martin was actually injured early on in the day after going full speed trying to break-up a Markus Wheaton reception. He'll be examined for a possible concussion, but seemed alright on the sidelines.
