Darius Slay's stats are nearly nonexistent as a sophomore this season at Itawamba Community College.

Opposing teams are opting not to even throw anywhere near the All-American cornerback. So far this season the 6-foot-1, 193-pounder has only recorded 10 tackles, a forced fumble and pass deflection through four games.

Thursday night Slay faced his toughest task to date covering former four-star Ole Miss wide receiver Patrick Patterson. Slay held the former prep All-American without a catch on the night.

Slay finished the night with one solo tackle and a kickoff return for 17 yards but the Indians fell 37-10 to fall to 1-3.

Following the game Slay took time to speak with BulldogBlitz about his performance and his commitment to Mississippi State.
