Bulldogs win fifth straight game
STARKVILLE, Miss., - Mississippi State continued their winning ways and hot shooting Wednesday night taking down Wright State, 80-69.
The Bulldogs shot a season-high 63-percent for the game and knocked down 12 treys on the evening.
"It was a quality win," said MSU head coach Rick Stansbury. "We shot in the 60's both halves. We shoot the ball well. We will look back and understand that this is a good win for us because that team there is a very good basketball team."
The win was the fifth in a row for the Bulldogs and fifth at Humphrey Coliseum this season.
MSU (8-2) shot 48-percent from behind the arc thanks to a stellar performance by Barry Stewart. The senior co-captain scored a season-high 21 points on 8-of-11 shooting including a season-high five 3-pointers.
"I felt pretty good in warm-ups," Stewart said. "(Coach Marcus Grant) has been working with me on my shot and what I have been doing wrong."
